Yesterday I called Belindas friend, who Belinda referred me to because she knew about printing on glass. The technique Belindas friend uses to print on glass, she uses a screen printing and firing method. This is a bit costly and you have to have certain materials and equipment, that I dont have.
Looking at web sites that print on glass, Iv found that it is very expensive and a lot of the places dont even deliver to canberra. Even just to have the images printed on acrylic is expensive!
After the convocation and long thought I have decided not to print on glass or acrylic. mainly just because of the pricing and timing issue.
here are some of the websites that I visited that print on glass.

http://printsonglass.com.au/ bloody hell, $525 just to print on glass..... their dreaming....

So instead iv decided to print on transparency paper instead. It still has the same concept that we will all disappear with time, because the prints on the transparency disappear after about 10 yrs I was reading. The prints will all still be see through and I will save a bucket load on cash!
I think because of the bendyness of the transparencies I will have to downsize how big I will have my images. This could also work out well to, if the images are small this will reinforce the idea our life's our smaller in the sceme of things.

practice shoot
These guys in the photo are my friends from work. The reason I shot them is because they are always happy and are having a good time. The people I would like to shoot I want them to be people I consider close to me and I know that they are always happy

This idea of having the box lying on its side and the images coming out sideways solves so
many problems.

GLASS
The other day my friend Bonnie Whitehead passed away at the young age of 19. This was a massive shock to everyone. She was a really lovely down to earth girl, always looking for fun. One of the most loveliest people iv met. out of everyone I know I wouldn't have expected this to happen, especially someone so lovely.
Life is unfair, random and cruel.
Our lives are so fragile and we really do take it for granted, way to much.
This got me thinking that maybe I should have my images printed on glass. Reinforcing the idea that we are fragile. The slitest bump could smash us or put a crack in us.
Another thing about the glass is that its see through. What we see our lives as, is a solid state but really its so temporary. What we think means a lot to us is nothing.
Over time we vanish into thin air like everything is, see threw......
I could have the images overlayed in such a way that all the eyes much up creating an overal image of what seems to be one person. This one person representing humanity.
Instead of having split images of people doing things they like, I will have a basic portrait of a person.

Class Q's
1. Ellory: Who are you making your book for?
Im making the book mainly for myself as an expression of my feelings and thoughts. I want to do something deeper and more meaningful but if I do that I think it will start to become more selfish.
2. Lori: Have you started photographing?
hmmmmmm no not really............. iv done the class exercises but i havent really started!
3. Elise: What inspired you?
Rude, selfish, arrogant, pig head, douche bag, slobs, king shit,SNOOTY and shit head people. People who think they deserve to live the life styles they have, when truly they dont!
4. Kayla: How does the way you are presenting it reflect your idea?
The wooden frames and box are going to reflect life. The wood is from a tree that died to make the wood. Trees are a massive part of our lives they provide us food, shelter, air, warmth and most of all LIFE! We never, EVER stop enough and look and appreciate what they do for us. I also love wood to! The images printed on glass will represent how fragile our lives are.
5. Sue: What are your current thoughts on your concept?
Up and down a lot, my moods change and my ideas change. When im happy I want my folio to be happy, when im sad I want my folio to be sad. It all depends on my mood at the time really. I like where it is going but im just worried it wont look good!
6. Sam: What does your concept mean to you?
To make people realize be happy! its not going to be their forever!

9. Zhi: How many photographs do you have?
none yet! but im looking at around 6-12
10. Phil: Do you fear people's reactions?
yea sometimes, thats like any work you do. We always want to get praise for our work, but sometimes negative feed back can be constructive feed back.
11. Scherry: How has your concept developed?
first it was mainly based around my beliefs and really one sided. now it is much more broad and has more open ended ideas about it.
12. AJ: Is your concept resolving a deeper issue for yourself?
Yes and no, I sometime feel as though im not as happy as I could be. I really dont understand why, I have an amazing girlfriend and amazing life, I have good health, good family, Im not stuck in a third world country with no food or water, I have a roof over my head! why am I not over the moon happy!
This is why I think its a bit more of a deeper issue
13. Sarah H: How do you think you'll feel at the end of it?
Relived! all the work will be done and ready to kick back for holidays! :D
14. Sarah W: Have any particular people influenced your concept?
My lovely girlfriend amdree :) she's the only person who makes me relise I should be happy no matter what.
15. Ryleigh 2: What's your biggest concern about the process?
Printing! expensive and time consuming! ahah mounting the images in wood frames shouldn't be to hard! hopefully?
16. Terri: Is there anything holding you back with your book and is there a way to get around it?
Mainly time! their is never enough during the day.
17. Dylan 2: What was your first reaction when you got the assignment?
Excited to get into it!
18. Andrea: Have you spoken to anyone outside the class about your assignment.
Yes and no, iv asked if some people could model for me! but thats about it.
19. Dylan 3: What do you hope to gain from making the book?
Better skills at shooting portraits and having things flow better.
20. Sarah 2: What have you already gained from making the book?
An insight to thinking about thing differently. Less technical and more "arty"
21. Alex: What will you do with your book at the end?
Hopefully hang it on the mantel piece haha
22. Nick: Have you thought about your concept before starting this class?
Yes quite a fair bit really, Iv always wondered of how to get people to stop being douche bags and be happy!
23. Belinda: After answering these questions has your premise changed or developed?
24. Belinda: What is your book about on the surface?
25. Belinda: What is your book really about underneath?
Im making the book mainly for myself as an expression of my feelings and thoughts. I want to do something deeper and more meaningful but if I do that I think it will start to become more selfish.

My lazy days normaly spands out like this, which is rather bad just beacause we have so much home work. Lazyness is something that I would like to change, but this is how I get most of my inpirational ideas.

ways of presenting
Something I really love is wood, the texture, the smell and the look. Their is just something about it that cant be matched. Tress are marvelous life forms. We don't stop enough and appreciate them. They provide us with food, air and shelter. We owe our lives to them.
I want my work to be presented in such a way that it creates a physical sensation. Either with the texture

I love the look of thee books,
interesting style
This is cool to.
overall i don't want to do a book but I'm rather just looking at textures.
This is the box
This is whats in the box
In class, Brian our teacher showed us a folio of work he did. It was a simple box looking shape. That opened up to be another box inside with images in the other box.
I made a mock up of this idea in hope to get soe inspiration
